RESOURCES - Stretch HTV
Stretch HTV is great because it prevents cracking and stretches with your garment. But it's not quite as user friendly. If it isn't applied correctly, it will peel - often after the first wash. Here's some important things to know:
1. Stretch requires a LOT of FIRM pressure. If you're using a Easypress, put it on a lower surface to leverage your weight on top of the press.
2. Siser recommends 320 degrees for 20 seconds. If you're not using a heat pressure, increase that by another 20-30 degrees, and add more time.
3. A pressing pillow can be put inside your garment to ensure even pressure between the garment and the heat. It helps compensate for any seams or variations and thickness.
4. A heat press makes applying stretch easier. It allows you to get the correct pressure and temperature on a consistent basis.
